Is it possible to make a sphere in archicad? How?

I have the same question for a inverted dome.

The easiest way is with the "Sphere" object, under "Basic Shapes" under the Archicad Library.

There are several simple geometric shapes in that folder, for forms that Archicad does not have dedicated tools for.

As Tom noted, you can use the one in the existing ArchiCAD library.
Later, its worth learning a bit of GDL for some of the things you want to make. Consider going on a course.
For more complex objects, you could also consider using Cigraph's ArchiForma2, a very powerful and versatile tool that makes objects that would be very very difficult even for an experienced GDL author.
