I have a 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro with 3Gb of RAM, and upon starting to use AC10 on it with a large shared (3-person) project (39-unit apartment building) I am hitting irregular slowdowns when going to the 3D Window or Section Window.
These slowdowns are unpredictable. I'm not sure yet, but it seems like the first time I go to 3D after a Send & Receive it takes about 5 minutes for even a small marqueed-off area. But I am pretty sure that the first time I open the file, even with exclusive access, the 3D window is slow. In each case I get the spinning beachball after about 10 seconds, and the Application Not Responding message in the dock. Then it finally unsticks.
Then I've got some section windows that are also problematic, taking 7-8 minutes for a simple section with almost no added text. When I cut a new section adjacent to the problematic one, it is lightning fast. Just now, after using one of these new sections for 2 hours, it suddenly turned into molasses.
My old PowerBook G4 didn't exhibit these problems, but I wasn't using the model intensely in teamwork then.
Any thoughts about whether these are TeamWork issues or Mactel issues?
