We have released ArchiCAD 19 Update 4011. Besides several improvements this Update makes ARCHICAD 19 compatible with MAC OS X 10.11 (El Capitan). It is currently available through the automatic update system for the INT, USA, UKI, NZE language versions. GER and AUT versions will be released tomorrow. Further language versions will be enabled as they pass Quality Control. You can download the Update packages from the Release Notes page here:

Hi all,

I was having the same problem where ArchiCad19 would crash when I tried opening the Door, Window, or Skylight tools in the Toolbox. I uninstalled all of the Windows Security Updates that were installed during the last Update Check on my system. This has solved the problem and I am able to use the tools now.

I was also having this problem in ArchiCad 18 when I checked just to see if that is something that is affecting my older version of ArchiCad.

After doing this uninstall the problem has been solved in both AC18 and AC19.

I am running Windows 7, AC19 Built 4011.

Thanks NCornia!

What would Graphisoft recommend as a fix to the Door/Window dialogue box crash as a result of the Microsoft Update (KB3097877). Uninstall the Update or Upgrade to Windows 10? I have been holding off Upgrading to Windows 10 until all known Windows 10/ArchiCAD 19 conflicts had been resolved. Are there still any known conflicts?

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely.

The easiest/quickest solution is to uninstall the update.
I can confirm this works (until the next update?)

Its times like these - and also when others get the crypto-virus, that I think -

I LOVE MY MAC!!

Note this issue is also affecting the 4D Library and this windows update will need to be uninstalled.

Apparently even Outlook has been crashing as a result of this!

Not sure if it is the issue as well - but I cannot open the autosave after such a crash...constant "Checking project consistency for an hour or so..."
(I will check after system restart after uninstalling the lemon MS update - and let You know)

Anyone knows the way to bypass the consisstency check on autosave opening? the removing the lemon KB did not help on this field.

Best Regards,

I get an error: "ArchiCAD 19 Update (4011) cannot access one or more files/folders in Macintosh HD:Applications:GRAPHISOFT:ArchiCAD 19 INT"

I have more than one install (NED + INT) in different folders. Last time I had this error, I removed ArchiCAD and reinstalled completely. Not the most pleasant waste of time...

And with the other installation, I get the following warning:

"Some separately installed add-ons have been found which have lower version numbers than this Update and ArchiCAD 19 (build 4011), found at location ..."

Any hints? I was under the impression that a Hotfix only pertained to the underlying ArchiCAD itself? Add-ons are not included and there are usually no updates available.

I'm talking about the Rhino-connection and the MEP module. The others are the ones we compiled ourselves from the DevKit.
I had the same problem but solved it: In the finder, 'get info' on the folder of Archcad 19, then do a 'apply on included elements ' by clickin on the wheel at the bottom of the dialog box. (in dutch: 'pas toe op ingesloten onderdelen'. So it's a permissions problem.

At this time major issues in ARCHICAD 19 and 18, which are specific to Windows 10 and OS X 10.11 El Capitan, are resolved by applying recent updates from GRAPHISOFT. Version 19 and 18 users who have installed the updates may upgrade to Windows 10 or OS X 10.11 El Capitan and potentially expect only minor issues, if any at all, specific to this OS version. For full details see the following articles:

For those users who wish to avoid even minor issues, it may be best to wait to upgrade your OS, until after GRAPHISOFT has released additional Updates for ARCHICAD 18 and 19.

Also, Microsoft re-released a patched version of the security update for Windows 7 and 8/8.1. So if you simply make sure Windows is up to date the crashing problem mentioned above no longer exists.

The latest updates for 18 and 19 have apparently fixed the open-save dialog box problem as well as the shadows under windows effect. However, the Help Center article on Windows 10 still lists them as known issues. What gives? As July approaches and more people consider moving to Win10, it can cause some serious confusion.
