I have lost my final job payment as well as my work relationship where I haven't been able to show some pictures because of the deadline. The owner thinks I only promised to wait for a hotfix fix that never came out while they were waiting for explanatory pictures.
Waiting for a hotfix that is never clear when it will come out while it is so very important and very urgent to wait for.
So waiting for the ArchiCAD 23 hotfix, who should I hope for?
Painful
Hi Eddy,

I'm not really understanding what you are trying to say here. Are you saying that bugs in 23 kept you from delivering a project and getting paid? If so, what specific bug(s) that you were not able to back-save as AC 22 and finish the project that way?

Sorry to hear (though not totally understanding) your pain,
Karl

Hi Karl,
I worked on the design of a 12-story hotel at the 85% stage completed.
In this topic : https://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=68579
it is a real bug
The problem is that several tens of hundreds of details can not appear correctly from the results of the section and the solution provided I do not understand it.
I hope that improvement will come out soon so that I can produce detailed pictures that are the completeness of the product, but from time to time it seems that my promise to the Client can no longer be tolerated.

As usual, I did not think that this update would be available for a long time.
If only I had just started my work I would return for a moment to ArchiCAD 22 but it was only a matter of completing it that was only constrained by the detail tools function.

I am trying to save to ArchiCAD 22, but this brings up a problem when the new column and block functions in ArchiCAD 23 will not be able to read properly in ArchiCAD 22 they will all be lost, not to mention the texture that is considered missing.

I tried to convince my clients that they could give me time from the beginning to the end of January, from the beginning of December, my work was temporarily stopped until I waited for the hotfix.

Impact or this bug I can not do the solution if it has to be done manually because some image production is still constantly making changes and the rebuilt process is certainly the most efficient because of the many details not a temporary solution.

Only this morning I opened
https://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/archicad/updates/?localization=INT&type=FULL&version=23
see this fix is available, hopefully this Bug is on the fix list

Until this reply, I have not started downloading it, I will explain again if this is hopefully going well.
Thank you, Karl
The lesson here being don't migrate your major projects to the new releases of ArchiCAD prior to any Hotfix releases
Unless you're willing to risk losing a lot.

Sadly Graphisoft very rarely ever release any super-stable 100%-production ready version upgrades anymore, and long-time users know that it typically takes 2-3 Hotfixes before you can get to a level where you have enough confidence int he stability of a new release to begin working on it consistently.

Obviously this year (or rather, this version) was further complicated by the incredibly delayed release date - by several months - of this latest release (ironically as always, because they claimed they were trying to make sure it was stable upon release), but that's still not an excuse nor should it be.

New users beware.

Thank you,
I did not do this by migrating or moving from ArchiCAD before, but rather making it new from the beginning of ArchiCAD 23 and actually hoping that there aren't many serious problems.
This has never happened before even though there is not very serious

Hi,
Just downloaded AC 23 on my Mac. All is great except it appears that the mouse "Zoom" option does not work as in the previous version. I use the 'Magic Mouse' -Apple, till AC 23 successfully. Checked the mouse settings, zoom enabled with a double tap on the mouse , but it does not work in ArchiCad. Am I missing something or is it a bug?
Thanks,

Well... As it turned out, I did miss something. I have had a lapse of about 10 years actively using ArchiCAD and are now just getting back into it again. Forgot about Work Environment and did not properly set up my mouse under the setting; Mouse Constraints.. So there we go. Now that I set up my Zoom and Pan functions -all is well!
many thanks, that was helpful. Its been about 20 years since I used ArchiCAD. Ive been 5 years plus on Revit so looking forward to seeing how this compares and was frustrated to immediately come across a simple zoom issue. Scrolling seemed so straight forward.
