Dear All,

Today we have made available the latest preview version of ARCHICAD 23 Update. We have created and tested packages for the INT, AUS, NZE, UKI and USA language versions.

The Preview Update is only available for the above language versions. If you attempt to install it on a different language version, you will get an error message about this.
We will create Public Update packages for all languages in the upcoming weeks. It will be possible to update from the Preview package to the Public one without a problem.

You can read the Release Notes and download the packages from here.

Should you have any questions or feedback, feel free to let me know!

Best regards,
Minh

ARCH-7876 FILE/IFC/IMPORT: If default beam end angle settings were modified, it affected IFC model elements imported as ARCHICAD beams.

I've been waiting for a solution close to this one.
Has it been done for columns? It will pick up actual column setting for Anchor Point when importing IFC complex profile Columns. That can be tricky. It's not listed nor obvious and can cause a huge mess. (Been through it)
Hi,

Thank you for your question!

Although I don't really understand your wish, this issue is about a defect with ARCHICAD import function. Here is how it could be reproduced on previous AC23 builds:
1. Create a new file with the default template.
2. Set Beam Default setting with END CUTS 120, 120 (not 90, 90).
3. Merge the IFC file.
4. The imported Beams will have wrong end cuts.

Let me know if there is anything I can help!

Best regards,
Minh
The same importing defect will happen with columns. That's sort of a request to fix the other tool also.

1 - Have an IFC in my model inserted.
2 - Comes a new version of it
3 - I change the anchor point setting in column tool
4 - When I update IFC, it'll dislocate columns with custom profiles for some reason.

Hi,

From our database, I have found out that this is a separate bug. This bug should be fixed in the third update of ARCHICAD 23 (60xx). Please refer to it as ARCH-9069. It happened due to the fact that the Reference Axis Location option at Column Default dialog affects the profiled column import, and shifts it to center location.

You may want to set the Column Default Settings' Reference Axis Location option to center before updating the IFC hotlink module to avoid this issue.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience! Let me know if you have any further questions!

Best regards
Minh

Is the view scale bug from interactive schedules fixed?

(Steps to reproduce: Set a windows/doors schedule. Place a view from O/R side or a 3d front view. Select the field, change scale to other than the default 1:100 <i changed it to 1:50> save the view and place on a layout. The scale changes back to 1:100)

Hi,

Thank you for your question!

Unfortunately, this bug has not been fixed in this update of ARCHICAD 23. Due to the very low number of reports, this defect has not received a high priority. Therefore, I would strongly suggest reporting your concern through the local partner. The more reports it has, the higher the chance of implementing a fix for this.

Thank you for your understanding! If you have any further concerns or questions, feel free to ask me again!

Have a great day!

Best regards,
Minh
