License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Dear All,

We have made available the latest Preview version of Archicad 24 Update 6001. We have created and tested packages for the INT, AUS, NZE, UKI, USA, GER & AUT language versions.

The Preview Update is only available for the above language versions. If you attempt to install it on a different language version, you will get an error message about this.
We will create Public Update packages for all languages in the upcoming weeks. It will be possible to update from the Preview package to the Public one without a problem.

You can read the Release Notes, List of Improvements and download the packages from here.

Should you have any questions or feedback, please let us know!

Best regards,
Minh

Hello,

Thank you very much for your report!

As of this morning, we received a similar report about this crash. The issue comes from RFA and RVT Geometry Exchange add-on. Currently, by removing this addon, Archicad won't crash at startup. I'm investigating whether this is the bug with the update or with the add-on. Once I know more about it, I will let you know!

Best regards,
Minh

Hi Minh,

Can I just delete the RFA and RVT Geometry Exchange folder in add-ons to get going again?

Thanks Minh, AC launched. Bit of a beach ball delay but on reflection I think that's normal on first launch.

I had the same issue on my windows machine. deleting that folder worked for me as well

Beam length stretching in 3D is broken in this update. You can move the endpoint as a workaround, but you can't simply extend the beam along its axis. This appears to be a legacy data problem. Creating a new beam in a new file works ok. I have a sample beam that fails trapped in a .MOD file if GS would like me to upload it.

Most probably you did, but did you check if the beam is in multi segment mode and the segment is locked?

None of the above. Bit strange this one as I can create a new beam in my current project with 6001 and it fails, but in a new clean file it is ok. Even adding a new beam in the MOD fails
