Adding a single point to mesh

Ashleigh1
Newcomer

I have recently upgraded to Archicad27 from an educational version.  I am trying to add a single mesh point to an existing mesh (not a contour).  I have the mesh selected, and the mesh tool highlighted.  When I click space bar and double click, it is coming up with the "New Mesh Point Box", but when I click "ok" nothing happens.  Has anyone got any tips on how to resolve this.

Thanks!

OK, I finally figured out why this wasn't working for us.

You need to be on the mesh's home story to add a point in plan view. If you are on a lower story, even if the mesh is visible, you are unable to add a point.

Our site mesh home story is the main floor, but our site plan view is from the story below that. I could see and select the site mesh because it was set to be visible on all stories below, but it wouldn't add a point unless I was in a main floor plan view.

I am glad you found the reason.

I would probably never have figured that out.

I don't use storeys for site plans, roof plans, etc.

I just use layers - no need to juggle what does or doesn't show on each storey.

And much easier for objects like stairs that pass from one storey to another without having to skip storeys.
