Archcad makes shadows on plants automatically as in section?

I have tried it because a friend told me that it's possible but he don't know how. Is it really possible?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Pedro,

I'm not sure I understand the question? Are you asking how to show shadows in sectional views?

If so, this is just a setting in the section/elevation dialog. This will show shadows for everything visible.

If you mean something else, can you show a picture or a sketch of what you want?

Hi

Thanks anyway.

In sections i know how to do. I want to know if it is possible in the plans.

For shadows on PLANS the only current option is to render an axonometric view (use the Look to Perpendicular option and pick a point on floor slab) or use Internal Engine 3D window and copy and paste shadow polygons to plan view.

Try a search of this forum for more tips, it has been discussed a few times.

Another option to S2art is to create a 3D Document and turn the shadows on, this option will update with the changes in your project. You will also have to set your 3D Cutting Plane settings to make the horizontal cut.
