GS please give us a list of ac 10 will be able to do

many users are dissapointed by the progress of the last versions and thinking about switching from archicad to another cad software.

For general european practice, not yet there. Over here we're mostly doing things by former DIN-standards and IMO Revit still needs polishing. I've seen some great features in the promo material, but when I tried to use it, it was way too awkward. Blame it on me or the tutorials provided with the software...

Ordered a Revit demo this week. Alas, I will never have enough time go do as deep into it as to make a real comparison with AC.

But there must be something wrong when an old AC user starts looking around for other applications. (Using Ac since v4.55 which makes about 12 years.)

I agree. I'm also a veteran user, also since 4.55, but I like to look around to know what I'm talking about when discussing with other users. We'll see what 10?s going to bring!

check the libraries, chances are that you might stop the comparison at that point

Im going to stick my neck out here and have a go at the release date for Archicad 10.

5th April 2006

There some sorta German event happening about then,(building smart IAI) Did they not release 7 or 8 at something like that ????

The is purely ill informed speculation............ but you wouldnt be reading the Archicad 10 thread if you werent interested........
