I have recently updated the program to AC18 Build 6000. Hoping that this would solve it, the problem still remains. When I publish either DGW or PDF, the publisher dialogue box does not appear after clicking on the Publish Button and the button turns dark grey as shown in the screen shot attached in the original message. Every time I publish I have to force quite ArchiCAD and restart it...Still baffled with this problem. Have you or anyone else had the same problem...
I don't work on a Mac so I can't say I know what is happening to you but it seems to me like the Publisher dialogue is hiding behind another window or it is off screen (do you ever use a second monitor).

Does the layout page still zoom and pan?
If so Archicad hasn't frozen - it is just the publisher dialogue that is hidden.

Maybe resetting to a default Archicad Work Environment will reset it?

Hey Barry, all done so I should receive the notifications now.
Regarding your comment, on the Publisher window not popping up when publishing I have reset the ArchiCAD Work Environment and still the same problem occurs. I am on a MAC, but have it attached the MAC Book Retina to a larger screen 'Thunderbolt Display'.

Also another Question, now that I have ArchiCAD 18 6000 Build, I don't seem to be able to save 3D BIMX Files. Is there a BIMServer Download, for this. Initially it was supposed to be installed, and it apparently isn't?

Anyway, I'm going to try to solve this publisher problem somehow. If someone knows how to fix this problem, I'd gladly like to know how!

I am not using a Mac so I may not be the best person to help with your problems.

BIMx can only be 'saved as' from the 3D model window and you have to change the file type to BIMx in the save as dialogue window.

From plan you can go to the FILE menus and you should have an option for 'Publish BIMx Hyper-model'.
However you will only have this if you are using the default 18 standard Work Environment.
If you are using your own custom WE or one imported from an older version of Archicad then you will have to go into the menu options and add this command yourself.

Hey Barry..

I already have this in the menu, but I don't think I have the BIMServer Set up. When I installed updated ArchiCAD to the New Build, it should have installed it but didn't. Is there a BIMServer Download for this.. I would have assumed it would have already installed the BIM Server app already. Apparently it didn't.

I don't think BIM Server has anything to do with this.
I don't use it at all.

What does your 'Add-on Manager' say for BIMx add-on (OPTIONS menu)?

I have found a few other posts here that show publish to BIMx being greyed out but no real solutions.
One said uninstalling and reinstalling Archicad fixed it.

OK.. Had a look and I have the same problem..

It is the BIMX Add-on thats not working and as you can see in the screen shot that the Add-on is apparently out of date or not reading currently.. Go Figure.. So I may have to try and re-install it again...

Unless there is another way..

Although BIMx is an add-on it is not installed separately.
It is part of the Archicad installation.
So the only way to renew it is to reinstall Archicad itself.
Or maybe 'Repair' may be good enough if you run the installer again without uninstalling first.
Not sure though as I haven't had the need to do it.
