My beam is being cut by some materials in a slab and I don't want the beam cut. Actually the beam is supposed to be inside the concrete.

It's a matter of building material priorities. You have to set the BM of your beam with a higher priority than the wall's BM.

Well, that's the problem, actually. There is no material setting in the Beam Selection Settings. There's only a surface override, which is not material setting, just a texture.

If your bean is a complex profile, the materials will be defined by the complex profile. But an easier way to resolve the problem may be to change the layer priority of your beam layer.
