I've been working on a complex 10,000 sq.ft. house. The preliminary design was done with generic walls of various thickness. After getting into construction documents I'm changing the walls to composites using the building material assignments. I was hesitant to start to do this because in the past (16 and before) connections didn't clean out correctly much of the time.
After wrapping my head around this feature, I would say that I really like the new connections. Very powerful and a great way to virtually construct and understand the building and also works really well for submitting to consultants. It's not perfect yet but I would say that even on a complex structure I'm getting it to work 95% of the time. It might be that I don't know all about it yet though.
I'm also getting much more accurate results with quantities in the interactive schedules. Preliminary pricing is much more reliable.
Anyway my hat is off to the development team for tackling this issue.
