Can't paste in reference location in trace mode

This is a very odd problem we've been having since our office installed 16. It seems we can't copy and paste in the reference location when switching between section/elevation windows. As a matter of fact, the paste option window shows "Paste In Reference Location" to be grayed out. We've tried resetting the trace to it's default location and that doesn't work either. Sometimes when we try to paste, the thing we are pasting just plops itself in some odd location all by itself. We have contacted Archicad, but they have no idea what we are talking about (It would be nice to send a rep to our office to help us). I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem and might know the answer.

I have also come across this bug in ArchiCAD 16. I have reported it to our programmers to issue a fix. Sorry about the trouble.

The bug is still present in AC17.

AC27 v. 4060 w/ MEP, Cadimage, Twinmotion 2023.2.2 using AC from AC6.0, 2021 MacPro M1 chip, Adobe CC. Used AC on both platforms.
