Covering

Hi, I am having some issues with the Covering tools, Wall and Roof.

In my perspective view I can not eliminate a wall intersection. The wall is on another layer. I have changed the problematic layer’s intersection to 0, and increased the subject wall layer intersection to 50, and increased the wall coverings layer intersection to 75. This did not help. See attached image.

The other issue I have is the roof coverings appear to be transparent in the 3D window/perspective view and I can not change it?? The roof coverings are very hard to select as well. It does not make any difference when I change the surfaces or building materials?? At a loss. I have lodged a support ticket for this one, no comment as yet.

Operating system used: Windows 11

A layer intersection number of 0 means that layer will not participate in trims/connections.

Layers with different numbers will also not trim each other.

You want all the layers that are to interact to have the same number.

As for your transparent roof, it looks like that layer may be set to wire frame instead of solid.

Barry hit the nail on the head. Turn all layers not visible to group 0.
you may also need to revisit your bMat priorities for walls intersecting exterior perimeters

Regarding the roof covering - perhaps your layer is on wireframe display?

'Marker Detail' will display as a solid

'Maker - Elevation' will display in wireframe, similar to what you are showing.

Accessible thru your layer control settings.

Hi Patrick, fixed. Thank you the bMat was missing in the coverings. Once i nominated a material it was fine. Thank you again.
