Creating A Complex Object

I am looking for suggestion on how to create this object in AC15. Ultimately it is just the horn shape of the main leg that I'm having trouble with. I'm sure there are a couple of ways to do this but I'm stumped.

how close does it need to be?

For instance, if you have the elevation drawings of the part, you can sculpt a rough approximation from a slab using SEO and curved cutting walls. It can be smooth near the bottom but it will show edges near the top. Note that I've curved the front and back trim to approximate the moulded form.

You can build this in GDL smoothly using a RULED command allowing tapered form, but it is not intuitive.

I started a gdl to make sweep graphically. You could put any point in the path guide and any point to the profile. A GH in the base handle the scale, and a there was a parameter to handle the angle of the sweep... you can add point to the path and to the profile...

Wow! Thanks for the timely response guys!

I ended up going to Form Z to create the object. Dwight, I'd love to learn more about getting that result thru SEO.

My GDL scripting skills are not anywhere near that level.
