Curtain Wall grid pattern preview: Issue with Composite panels etc

Anonymous
Not applicable
Whenever I use composite panel in curtain wall, it is not previewed in curtain wall grid preview. Also, the windows are not previewed. This makes designing any more complex patterns not so intuitive, always have to guess. Are there any ways to get complex panels and windows previewed?

Please see image attached.

That Preview is showing only what the Curtain Wall Pattern will look like.
It is not generating the actual 3D of the Curtain Wall.
It just helps you get and idea of how large the panels are, where are panels and frame in the pattern, etc.

Sure. In my mind there is an inconsistency though.
1. When I use "simple panel: component, is previewed with its color, in my sample orange
2. If I use a one layer composite panel, no matter what color the material, it is previewed white.

If I want to have a pattern with panels of different materials, as many people might want to do, it is really hard to do that with all previewed white.

Should I file as a feature request?

Yes, you can always make a wish and then I will submit it to GRAPHISOFT for their consideration.
If you make a wish, please post its link in this thread.
