Curtain Wall tool in horizontal plane

Hello! Is it possible to put a curtain wall tool completely horizontal?

I would use this tool for pergolas, ceilings and so many things if I could put it any way I wanted...

Ok, I managed to model it and it shows the pattern or grid but I can't show the ceiling with a fill and colour. No choices for how it shows in plan?

You might want to go into your Model View Options and under Curtain Wall Options make it so that the CW panels are visible:

They should then show up in your floor plan. 

Then you can make a graphic override and make them any color you want.
