How can I create curved beams with variable radiuses?

Beams can be curved in plan, same as walls. If you draw beams using the chain geometry method, there are a few options to draw your curves "on the fly." You can also edit these curves afterwards.

You can't curve a beam in the vertical axis (ie arch).

Cadimage Objective can bend & twist beams

If it's all bending in one plane, you could try creating it with curved walls, convert to morph/save as object. Or try ye olde Truss Maker.

Or just use morph from the go, but I find making a morph follow a predefined path quite tedious. And if you want to change the path afterwards, it's near impossible.

There is an object called Web Beam Curved 19, in the US library, under 13 30 00 Special Structures... this object will let you arc the beam vertically (i.e. in elevation).
