I am assuming you do not want a curved stair and the curved wall in under the edge of the staight stair. The easiest way that comes to mind is to use a SEO. Make a 2nd curved wall or slab which you will use to subtract the piece you don't want putting it on a non-visible layer.

If you mean to curve the whole staircase, no. You'll have to recreate the stair from scratch.

I'm also not sure what result you're seeking, but the attached image shows how this can be easily done with OBJECTiVE:
  • - Draw a section through the stair
    - Create an elevation profile
    - Bend it to the curve of the wall
You can see more at: www.encina.co.uk/objective.html

Not to take away from Ralph's fantastic add-ons, a curved stair can be created from scratch in ArchiCAD. Just draw a fill in the shape of the stair that you want, then a line of travel and go to Design> Create Stair Using Selection.

To learn more look up Custom Stair Based on Manually Drawn Elements in the Reference Guide. Then you just need to deal with all of StairMaker's shortcomings.

Just do the curved stair with StairMaker. Easier than it looks.

Would it be possible for you to write a little more in detail on this way of doing it, as it looks pretty easy. i have looked at the videos but fing it a little confusing.
any help would be great

Kray, advice:

Find an architecture office near you and offer them your time in exchange for learning ... you will learn a lot and your time will be well spent.

You are asking questions so basic that it is obvious that you did not put enough of your time in learning Archicad. Sorry, but that is something that you have to do yourself. Spoon feeding is bad - you forget and depend on the spoon.

There is an old saying about giving a fish and teaching fishing ... and it is very true.

OBJECTiVE currently makes 3 different profile types, which all have unique properties. Two of them, section profiles and elevation profiles, can be bent to a curve in 3D. I'm suggesting that you use an elevation profile for the stair. I've attached some images to show how this type of elevation is made, and how it can be bent.

To make the profile, simply draw the polygon shape with the Fill, Slab, or Roof tool, and use the OBJECTiVE/Component/Make Profile menu to make an object from it. OBJECTiVE will prompt you to draw a line to indicate the bending axis for the profile (the plane of the arc). The example shows the results for angles of 0, 45, and 90 degrees, bending the shape in or out by 600mm. I'll follow this up with an application to your stair.
