DWF is dashed

Can anyone explain why plotmaker output to DWF makes all the line work dashed in the model view (as against the sheet)

Here are 2 samples from within Archicad 9. Same effect occurs on Archicad 8.1 and Plotmaker sheets for both versions.

Maurice,
That does look nasty. Could you please post a screen shot of your publisher settings? It would help a lot.
As ben asked, what line types are you using etc etc?

Cheers.

The autodesk discussion group on this subject states that a programming problem in DWF Viewer produces this phenomena.
I have requested a work around

were you using voloview or something else? maybe a web-based viewer/reviewer? (they are notorious!)

We use Autodesk DWF Viewer ver 5.0 Build version 5.1.0.527. As for notorious - yeh they crash regularly when viewing files especially zooms. (Our graphics card drivers are up to date!)

I also use the same veriion of DXF Viewer. The Autocad discussion group answered thus:
"Re: Lines, again
Eric Haines' reply was to a user who was creating DWF files using his own
process."

So Autodesks own viewer is at fault. Which DWF viewer do other people use that works?

Maurice,
You can always use ArchiCAD/Plotmakers own DWF viewer. It is a Java based viewer that you use through your web browser.

When publishing to DWF simply choose "Include Web Environment" under your view set publishing properties before you publish your DWFs.

HTH.
Cheers.

So interesting that Autodesk issues a direct and aggressive challenge to PDFs and there seem to be so-o-o many problems with DWF. All of the AUGI forums bring up lots of problems with DWF.

By the way, its also interesting to see problems being reported with the Revit/DWG translators. You would think that they would get that one right!
