Help!

I have been working on secveral dwg files for over a week, files that I opne modify and save out again as DWG files. I have been opneing them without difficulty until today. A file I opened, worked on, saved and tried to re-open several hours later will not open (spinning beach ball). Now, all my other dwg files are doing the same. Some will eventually open, but hwre it took 2-3 minutes, now takes 10-15.

I have re-booted the computer, exchanged Archicad Add-Ons: Translators folders, but same. Archived all xml translators and used default. Same. have noticed the default save is Acad 2000 in my default translator.

Any ideas?

Can you ZIP and post one here so that other can try?

Something is VERY heavy in your file; look at the file size. I suspect fills.

Problems continue. here are two files I am trying to open that came from a consultant. One is a native Archicad file, the other a dwg file made from same Archicad platform that created the native file. Whne I try to opne, I get nothing, nadda, zip on the dwg file, not even an error message. On the native file, I get "unknown file version". I have always been under the impression that PC and Mac .pln files are binary compatible. Is this not the case????

i would have thought that I could open a dwg created by any Archicad version, or have I got a corrupted something????
