Door and Window Labels..

I have searched to no avail for this,.. Is there a way to better control the automatic labels on Doors and Windows? They all seem to orient themselves as they please, even upside down.... Ideally, I prefer them to read properly from bottom and right of the drawing..

Some of the label objects provided with AC 8.1 are buggie in terms of their rotation. Try selecting the offeneding lables and entering a 270.1 degree rotation. Other values of rotation may be required for walls at "weird" angles.

Hi,

I don't know where to enter 270.1. Are we talking about the same labels?.. I am referring to "dimension markers" that label doors and windows.. I cannot even select the markers, only the door.

Thanks

Oh I see. Yes "markers" do not have the ability to be rotated so I don't know of any fix for that problem. See previous tread on that subject:

As a workaround, if you do decide to use "labels" instead, as I do, you can rotate them as I described.
Sorry for the confusion.

Doesn't look like a bug to me.. just poor imagination/programming.. why would anyone want their text upside down? In software this expensive....

I don't mind using the labels actually since it gives control of the text.. Now can I trun off the leader line and arrow...?

I just zero out the extention line length field. See attached screen shot.

John,

Not a good communicator am I? It's the "pointer" I need to remove.. I've tried everything. So much time on such a small thing..

Thanks for you time..

See if checking "Use Symbol Arrow" helps. See attached screen shot.
