Door casing / positioning problem

I'm having an issue with the D1 16 and D2 16 wood doors in complex profile walls. The casings are not going where they should and the frame thicknesses aren't correct. The problem only occurs in a complex profile (i've confirmed it works properly in a composite).
The complex profile wall has 3/4" trim modelled into it that go around the perimeter of the room. The door casing is to match in size to coordinate with the trim. In the complex profile, the opening reference lines are turned on and are in the proper location (the plane of the gypsum board.)
It makes no difference if the door settings are set to solid wall, stud wall, etc.
Please help! Attached is a image of the problem.

This would cut openings though.
