I am working on a renovation project. Need to show existing windows "as is". Existing structure is wood frame with brick veneer. Existing windows are set back to face of wood framing. When I choose the "Brick Veneer" w/ brick sill and a setback of 4 1/2" in the window tool. When I insert the window. There is a 1 1/4" space on the exterior side of the window. Both jambs and the head show this space. In this instance it is showing the existing wall sheathing. Don't want to see it. The window tool is adjusting for the masonry opening. How do I get rid of this 1 1/4" space on 3 sides of the windows. I need the existing brick to show as being tight to the jambs and head? I have a couple of dozen windows to insert. Some with Masonry arches over them too. Please share your thoughts.
Erika,
I did look into using the "custom closure" setting vs. the "brick veneer" one. What I found was that when I selected the "custom closure" option the "brick sill" option was not available. However, I was able to get this to work (referring to my original issue about the perimeter gap) for the windows. I have not been able to get it working for any type of door.
Taking into account I am still a novice AC18 user... I'm hoping someone can point me in the correct direction. I am very open to yours and others advice on getting this figured out.
Thanks for taking time to look into it on my behalf - Greg
