Error message with trim turned on

Not applicable
Has anyone else out there had a problem with the trim causing problems in 10? I have been using the template 10 for US content and everytime I put in a window with trim associated to it, I get the message "group operation error at line 879 in the 3D script of file wa_trim_us_10.gsm...it doesn't matter if it is a casement, double hung, awning, etc, as long as there is trim, I get the message. I have tried doing a new and reset, but I still get the same message. Any suggestions out there??? I sent an email to tech support a while ago, and they are aware that this is a bug. I'd say a pretty BIG bug!!! Any help would be appreciated!

I had seen this behavior early on and tried to repeat it, but everything seemed to work fine. There isn't any chance you are using RC10 versus the final release?

I have seen this error mostly in complex walls. There have been others reporting this:

I am using the most current copy of Archicad. I had just installed a new-out of the box copy yesterday and I started having these problems right off the bat. Gabor, did you open the file? Did anyone else try opening the file?

You did not post a file. Your message did not have any attachments.

It won't let me send it, it says the file is too big. I don't know why, the file is only a little over 1 MB.

Is anyone else here using, or has used the AC10 template for US users??? I found that when I did a new and reset and pasted in the old model that my doors and windows work. But everytime I go into that template I get the same error. Does anyone know a way to import the layout book/ project map from a different pln info into a new file?

Kinda restrictive for big-filed folks like ourselves but there you go.

Do a "forwad merge":

- make a template of a New and reset file
- merge the template into it

In the Attribute Manager, purge all unused attributes.
Also, delete everything except for a Wall with the problematic Window in it.
Then save as PLA and ZIP it.
Then hopefully it will be small enough.
