Export & import work environment profile

I am trying to set up Archicad on a new computer and want to import my work environment from my old computer. I am using version 16. I can export my WE from the old computer (as an XML document), but when I try to import the WE, the Import function doesn't seem to be able to recognize XML documents. I have exported WE in the past using version 16 and they were saved in a windows folder structure and I can import those work environments. I am confused - please help.

Just select the folder, AC will recognize the XML file within it.
No need to select the XML file.
Strange quirk but you get used to it.
