File size bloat

Is there Check for Duplicates tool compatible with archicad 14 US build 4204? I had a large project that went from 280MB to 450MB back in December. I wasn't aware that it happened, and only realized it happened recently as the project file is now running horribly slow where before it was merely slow. I really would like to find a way to get back to 280MB. I havent added much to the project, A windows update crashed it once, and I have updated Java....so I am really clueless as to what to do. I have previously experienced huge unexplained file size increases but the file somehow self corrected after some random number of saves. I am not going back to the smaller file as a reconstruction of things I have done since then would be impossible to duplicate precisely. thanks in advance

start here:

download 14

but then you POSSIBLY need to update Archicad here:

Try checking through your embedded library for objects of large file size and check to see if you have a large number of lines & arcs. 2D lines require more memory than gsm objects since they need to be stored in the file, not linked, and each line is a single instance which requires vector data, positioning and other properties per instance. In short, they are not as parametric so ArchiCAD has to store more data about each instance. I am not sure that it is your problem right now, but worth looking into.
