Find & Select bug in AC10 ??

So when in the Find & Select dialog box, if I Find Elements by wall, column or beam and then sort by linetype filter I only get the linetypes with IDs 1-12. Find elements by any other type and sorting by linetype I get all 25 or 30 of our linetypes. Even when using the eyedropper to set the parameter in the dialog from an element that is clearly a higher ID number linetype it shows missing in the dialog box. This seems to occur all the time.

I also noticed that in some cases some of the sorting filters are greyed out when they shouldn't be. For instance in a file converted from 9 to 10 I was changing objects to 10 library parts so I could unload the old libraries. I would set elements to objects and try to use Name as the sorting method but name was greyed out in the list. I could however eyedropper an object and then change the sorting method to name. This one I can not get to repeat now that the file is all cleaned up. I will try again on the next converted file if there are any.

Anyone else seen either of these? Bugs? Setting off somewhere? Workarounds?

OK so some further research shows that it is not the ID numbers that are restricted but the type of linetype that is the determining factor. Dashed linetypes show up on the list for walls, columns and beams, Symbol linetypes do not.
