Is it possible to accurately snap to a ghost story point? (Intersection on the ghost story, or an intersection with a ghost story line and line or element on the current story?

Thanks

Yes and yes. You can also option-click on ghost elements, and dimension to them. Special snap points work too.

Helps?

Yes it does. But what is option-click?

Option-click (or alt-click in Windows) picks up the settings of the element clicked and makes that tool active.

Tom, no offense - did you have any training?

No offense taken. I had one day of training when I bought the program. I'm 7 hours drive from the dealer, and there is no place closer that has training, which is pretty expensive. They're only one day classes anyway.
No one in this area uses ArchiCAd, so this forum is the best training tool I have.

Please forgive all the simple questions.

Yeah, perseverence is the key. I find this program to be less complicated than Architectural Desktop, and Softdesk Auto Architect, which I used for years.
The benefit to all the aggravation of learning a new program is the 3D, linking elevations and sections. That was virtually impossible with those programs.

Aspirin is a beautiful thing.

Never worked in ADT, but AutoArchitct caused me many a joy and sleepless night at the same time.

ArchiCAD is much simpler on the surface, but at least as complex (NOT complicated) under the bonnet.

Maybe you should attend AcuWest if at all possible; mingling with the crowd does wonders for your knowledge!
