Glazing showing up opaque in elevations but clear in 3D

Hi there

I have been modelling windows and doors using the CI tool door add in

The glazing for some of the doors is showing up solid in elevations but clear in the 3d

Is the Door/Window element the same? I mean, are the Door/Window elements with the opaque glazing and the the Door/Window elements with the transparent glazing using the same Library Part? If not, the glazing may be scripted differently in the two Library Parts.

Or, they can be different if two different Building Materials /Surfaces are set for the two elements.

Hi @cassie

Thank you for the question!

This is a known limitation of the glass surface in elevation/section.

In your case, for example, if the windows/doors use 2 different glass surfaces, one with 51% Transmittance, and the other with 50%, you may find that in 3D they seem to be the same, but on elevation, only the 51% Transmittance glass shows element behind it.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if there is anything unclear!

Best regards,

Minh
