How To: Cut mesh around building?

I've got a house with a bit of jogging foundation walls and I'm wondering what the easiest way to cut out the slab around the house.

Do you select the slab and using the slab tool create a hole, tracing around the exterior of the building?

Or do you use SEO's to do this? If you use SEO's and you move the building, will it automatically update the mesh hole?

Also, do you have to adjust the height of the new mesh points around the building?

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

if the mesh is complicated, always use SEO. Because editing nods after hole is trimmed, would be confusing. Using hidden 3D "trimmer" should be much easier.

Then ground is plain, just trim the hole using "magic wand" and foundation ghost story.

SEO function is a life, changing house location, the hole move along.
But You will miss some lines in section elevation (for example there foundation intersects ground )
