It will be a regular wall with a roof to define the point and angle at which it is cut then you can use SEO (solid element operations) with the subtraction with upward extrusion setting or the trim to roof command to subtract the shape. The roof used for the trim should be on its own layer so that it can be turned off.

The Archicado item is an object, and as such will not clean up with oter walls. If you want that you need to use one of the procedures ejrolon describes.
Read in the Help menu about
1) the Trim to Roof command, and about
2) Solid Element Operations (SEO)
Especially the latter is extremely useful in many situations.

Help me understand the excitement.

You can easily make a wall with a sloping top in two simple ways:

1: Using a mesh
2: Using a roof element to trim a wall, thereby preserving all of the wonderful things a wall does, including supporting windows and doors.

This is something that must be tested: What happens to the integrity of the model if you must use a nonexistent roof to make the wall you want. What happens if you export this combination to IFC? What is the clean way to do this?

More and more, what is expected from us is a model that IS right instead of just LOOKING right.

Fair enough question, and one that affects any subtractive process in Archicad.

What about any SEO operation where an operator is extra to the model?

Does anyone have the answer?

PS: How far are you away from where they have the wife-carrying contest?
