Int. elev. marker

I am using AC10. Does the interior elevation marker OBJECT link to the actual elevation as does the elev./sect. markers do when the Sect./Elev. tool is used? If so my problem is something else.

If you placed it with the Section tool, then yes, it links.
If you placed it with the Object tool, then no, it does not
