It appears that each side of your roof is composed of three sub-roofs
set at different pitches. Since roof accessories always starts the
tile layout from the lower left corner of each roof, the tile columns
will not line up because the coordinates of the lower left corner
of each sub-roof are different.
Try drawing the right half of each sub-roof so they have a common
left edge, apply the roof accessory to the roofs then mirror a copy
of everything to the left side. You will have a vertical joint but it
looks better than miss-aligned courses.

Sounds like the problem is resolved ... but, without time myself to test at the moment, I wonder if it is really the lower left corner that is the alignment? Duane Valencia has reported his tip on aligning standing seam metal (same roof accessory) several times, where, if I recall correctly, his solution was to assure that the centers of the roof pivot lines matched ... or maybe the roof pivot lines themselves had to be the same length and aligned...?

To be honest, I am not sure if they will always start in the same place with regards to the center of the roof pivot, but you can control the start point with the pivot line, so with some visual feedback in the PLAN window, it is do-able.

In Archicad 6.5 and Archicad 7 the accessory could display in plan
with the PROJECT2 command but in AC 8.1 I don't think it does this.
As I recall, the code calls a 2D macro that draws a 2D representation
which does not align with the 3D objects.
Please verify this.

If you position the left end of the pivot line of roofs directly on top of each other, the roof surfacer will align with each roof, not matter what way they are facing.
Unfortunately this doesn't make it easy to keep our roofs at the heights we want them, so we can usually just get by with lining them up. Check the attachment - I've aligned the left ends of these roof pivot lines in the x axis.
This is for 2D, but as Peter said, not sure if it relates to 3D.
Hope that clears it all up.
Cheers,

I just tried the Italian tile roof accessory and the 2D lines and
the 3D object edges do not line up and wherever the pivot line
center or end is does not seem to affect the origin of the 3D tile layout.
The 3D layout seems to start at the lower left corner of the roof.
Please correct me if I am wrong and tell me how to change the
3D origin of the 3D tile layout.
Thank you,

I did a quick mod of the 2d to create PROJECT2 and they do not move with the pivot line.

Thank you for the verification.
Would you concur that in AC 8.1 and AC 9
the origin of the 3D tile layout is the lower left corner of the selected roof ?
I have looked at the code for the object and it appears (just a guess)
that ac_coords start at the lower left corner of the roof the accessory
is doing the edge detection on.
Thank you,
