Library parts and templates

I need some ideas...

We have created custom libraries and templates.

The templates open and the libraries load, but...

some of the views I have saved are lists generated by element and component listing....

The first time I open ArchiCAD and start a new project using the template, the lists don't appear in the view sets. All of the plan, section and detail views appear! But, no lists....

If I keep AC open and re-open the template or an exisitng project, the lists appear...

Is there any way for me to structure the library so that my lists show every time?

I have tried storing a pla in the ArchiCAD 8.1 library folder

I have tried storing the expanded library in the 8.1 library folder.

I have tried various folders elsewhere on my hard drive...

Is there a protocol AC runs as it loads libraries that does not permit the lists to show right off the bat?

Why do they appear when I create a new project after the first one fails to load?

I can always get them to appear after re-opening the file...

If new users aren't used to checking the view set for the lists, they could lose a lot of production time...

Baffled and all over the emoticon spectrum

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Just a hunch - but once you start a new file from a template do you "Save" the .PLN file before checking the Viewsets?

No...As it stands right now, when we create a new file from a template, we check the viewsets for the lists before saving...

It's fine for people like myself who do it every day and are disciplined enough to check the viewsets. Our real concern are the new users...If they aren't disciplined enough to check; it could really sour their day...Our add-on is a productivity tool...but if the material lists don't load...it can take away all of the gains.

Have you checked to see if the Viewsets are correct after you save the file? There are a lot of things relating to the ArchiCAD database that only work correctly after the file is saved to it's own unique file name.

Yes, we check the template and save the file...If we close ArchiCAD and open the file, we almost always have to re-open the file before the lists appear in the viewset....It's as if the view sets load before the library is fully loaded...

If the library was to load first and then the view sets, we'd be very happy...but this doesn't appear to be the case.
