Log wall to interior wall connection

I have log exterior walls and regular interior walls. The problem is in 3D the interior walls sort of squeeze out from between the logs and I get these little slivers of wall sticking out (see attachment).

I tried different settings for the connections, but nothing changes. Any ideas?

Does this happen if you have the reference line of external walls on the inside face?
