MESH-can't add more points?

Hi there,
I was merrily making a mesh, adding points from drawn-contours using the mesh too (holding down the spacebar for the magic wand) and then AC wouldn't add more points...I got the same pop-up, the "New Mesh Points w/ Add New Points Fit to User Ridges," same as I had been doing...but that's it, then, no new points added, no explanation. Anyone experienced this before?
Thanks,
John

hello John,

I usually use line tool to add new points. You draw something and then
select the mesh and the line, select then the mesh tool and click on the magic hand. Finally you click on your line with the magic hand and get you "Add New Points Fit to User Ridges" dialog box. May be one of these
step is missing ?
All the best

John,

Start up a Goodie that's called Polygon Count ...

For some reason, I wasn't e-alerted when your responses were posted...to explain my delay in reply.
Jean-Luc, tha't the method I had been using, which suddently stopped working.
Djordje,
I loaded up the PolyCount add-on, and discovered a numeric value to something I already knew: there are a lot of polygons in my mesh, 63,405 to precise.
However, is that the cause? Have I maxxed out my polygon allotment? Thanks for your posts...!

Hi John,

now I understand what you meant. I have exactly the same problem with
a complex topography. I have a lot of polygons in my mesh too, 63,951 to be precise. Therefore same question why archicad 10 stops to add mesh curves on my topo ? Is there a kind of limit by mesh ?
Apparently I can create another mesh with new point but impossible to
add point on my previous one...
So since I have no time to fight with that I will cut my mesh in two part.
Cheers
Jean-Luc
