Making simple flutes (cabinet & wall covers)

Hi!

I'm working with CI Cabinet Tools and trying to model a custom fluted cabinet. I managed to create a basic cabinet with straight wood tambour, but I’m struggling with the fluting.

I attempted to achieve the effect by creating a slab and using the Fillet/Chamfer tool, which seemed like the easiest, most intuitive approach. However, instead of applying the curve where I need it, it modifies the opposite edge (even in 3D view). I also tried adjusting it in the 3D view without the fillet/chamfer but Archicad seems to restrict where I can place the angles.. I don't understand the limitations in such a robust software. I also don't want to go back to revit or sketchup to do this simple thingsince I already am on subscription on archicad.

Does anyone have advice on how to properly model fluted details in Archicad? Example below
