Material priority instant sorting

Polar Bear

Hello,

Is it normal that when i change the priory of some material, i need to click on priority for it to sort it once again.  Meaning that the priority sorting is not instant.  it adds one more step of work. (while editing composite, one has to close composite, open material etc etc. ).

In reference to revit's capacity, these can be done in a single window, adding great speed to work.

Thanks a lot!

I can't comment for Mac machines, but in Windows, it will automatically re-adjust position in the list if you are sorting by priority.

Yes, it readjusts for me as well each time Building Materials are sorted by Priority and the Priority of the selected Building Material is changed.

For speed of workflow between Building Materials priorities and Composites you can use Attributes Manager, see this link it may help you :

yes but it is not the same as modifying material while being in composite (as in revit) or modifying priority and get the live update (not possible on mac it seams...)

Thanks!

I know that there’s an Apply button in Revit which makes you finish the sub-dialogue and preview what you applied before moving into up-level dialogue then to the main one that lets you preview all choices prior to pressing finish or ok, I see it’s a strength point in Revit and sure we lack this in Archicad and that affects the workflow speed.
