Modify Wall in 9?

I give up. Deadline approaching, I'm tired, i can't find AC7's Tools > Modify Wall command in AC9. It's the one where you could move a wall's reference line without moving the wall. Where the f..k is it? (and I'm probably an idiot too)

You've probably found it by now under the Edit menu

No. And I'm looking right now. What's happened?

check your work space settings.

In the US version there is no "expert" option.
You have to choose "US Standard Command Layout Scheme" under "Command Layout Schemes"

I have the Int version. I guess it should be "expert" then. Damn. If i choose that workspace I'll probably lose all the tweaks I've made already. It's back to RTFM i guess. But there's no time....

Thanks!

- I never guessed the full interface was turned off by default. Someone is underestimating our expertise... 😉

Welcome to the club, I have spent more time in the past few days tweaking AC than working in projects.

I think that you can keep your settings. When you change something in the workspace you will get a custom option then you can click on your saved profile and select redefine ( just like views...)

Try this:
Option\Work environment\choose customize Menu\apply command layout scheme "expert 9".

Thanks for all help! I applied the "expert" scheme adn got my Modify Wall option back. Of course i'll have to re-apply my tweaks. As for now, i don't have time, but at least all commands seem available again.

I think it's ridiculous that you have to do this. All commands should be available in all default configurations, although perhaps hidden in sub-menus and such. I did not choose "expert" from the beginning because I don't regard myself as one. Now I realise that everyone has to start with the "expert" mode before customizing your interface, otherwise you don't know what you're missing. THIS SHOULD BE EXPLICITLY STATED IN THE INSTALL DOCS!

Thanks again!
