Hi everyone,
I’ve been running into some limitations with snapping in Archicad, especially while working on more complex drawings with multiple layers and references.
I’m curious if others feel the same way, but I think the snapping system could really benefit from a bit more control and flexibility.
For example:
Right now, snapping to everything at once can sometimes slow things down or cause small but annoying inaccuracies.
Would love to hear how you deal with this in your workflow, or if there are any workarounds I might be missing.
Operating system used: Windows

@Seyma Can Aslan I think this sounds like a good idea. I would suggest posting it to the Archicad Wishlist.

Great question! I also would love to know how folks work-around snapping issues, which like you said lead to inaccuracies.
Follow-up/related: Is there a way to temporarily disable snapping? For example in Rhino, you can hold ALT which will disable object snapping while being held... Yes, I can setup a button shortcut to disable specific snapping options, but then I have to turn it back on after the fact.
Thank you!

@NateLumen Unfortunately, I can't submit any requests to the Archicad Wishlist. I think you need to be a current version of Archicad user, but I have an older version.

You need to be on SSA/Forward agreement, or have a Subscription to create wishes or vote on wishes.
