Hi
Revisiting an old subjet but need help repositioning a project to be closer to the project origin.
I can select and move the entire model using thick lined marquee tool and all layers turned on, but in sections and elevations the dimensions stay in their origional position.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

section, elevation, internal elevation (if you've gone that far).
best to type in the dimension of how much you have to move them. quicker that way compared to zooming in/out between the old & new locations.
before i move entire models, i normally take note how much they move in the X & Y axes, that way it's easy for me to move notes by simply typing the distance value.

unfortunately they will.
there might be some 2D that move with the model (ie linked labels & some dimensions), but in most cases, yes, you'll have to do the same 'big encircling marquee' & move the 2D stuff to align with the model.

Ok, thanks. So I need to go into every single section and elevation view and move the annotations and dimensions across??

Agreed. You can also draw a vector that represents the relative displacement, position the line away from other potential snap interferences, and then execute the move. The vector can be copied to non-story views, which are not affected by the bold marquee.
