Multiple AC 18 files

Since I installed update 6000 when I open an extra plan file using open & tick Launch a new instance of Archicad, sometimes the file opens as it should but more often than not I get just an untitled file tries to open & hangs on the grey screen, I then have to ctl alt delete & close it via the task manager.
I can open a blank file (additional) then open the file I want from that & not ticking Launch a new instance of Archicad.
This is a pain in the rear.

I had hoped the 7007 update would fix it, but it hasn't.
I did a fresh install, but made no diffidence.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I used to have the same problem in ArchiCAD 18 sometimes.
To tackle the problem I used to startup ArchiCAD 18 again and open the second file from there.

Not having this problem with AC18 6000 on Mac. Maybe it's a Windows thing

I am having no problems with 18 or 19 (Windows).
If it works OK sometimes then maybe it is just a certain file causing the problem?

Rogerdoge & Dontknow,

Perhaps you have the nVidia GeForce Experience software installed. It is like a customer experience software for your graphics card and may be interfering with the Inter-process Communication between ARCHICAD instances: Read more here:

I hope this helps.
