Object selection please help

I just upgraded to a new computer and im missing some setting that I had with my old computer. Ive never had this problem before.

When two lines end at the same point and you hi-light one line and want to grab the control point of that line it doesn't seem to work out anymore. When the control point is clicked Archicad then selects the other line instead of allowing me to grab the control point of the first line.

I basically want modification of the selected line to take precedence over selecting a different line when two separate lines conjoin at the same point.

This is driving me crazy!!!

Select the tool used to draw the line and try selecting again. It should work as you expect.

Check grid snap isn't on, as this can disrupt selection.

It is also worth double-checking that the two lines are definitely sharing the same node point. Sometimes if for some reason they are a micron apart, you get the behavior you describe.

Try redrawing the lines afresh and re-checking.

Hope that helps.
