All,
I am trying to shape the top of a wall different than a horizontal line.

I tried to find how to make simple solids and perform a boolean operation however I can't find a tutorial how to make simple solids (cube, prism, etc.)

Please help!!

Thank you all in advance for the responses.

Sincerely,

DDJUSA

If you have AC 9 you can find a .pdf called
"Intro to object making in Archicad" inside
the documentation folder. This will give you
a good start making objects first by converting
3D models into GDL objects then making
objects using the GDL scripting language.
If you want to go deeper into GDL go to this URL
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/sbe/cookbook/
and at the bottom of the page you can download
the .pdf version of the GDL Cookbook 3 the definative
book on GDL programing.

If you just need a slanted top to the wall, use a sloped roof as the operator with upwards extrusion. A simple cube, for example, can be made using the slab tool.

What sort of wall top shape were you after? Going down the GDL route gets a bit complicated, you may find it easier to use one of the existing tools, and a bit of lateral thinking!
Also -- consider Complex Profiles if the shape is uniform along the length of wall.

Also, check the Basic shapes folder in your standard library.
