Materials are not stored as part of the Views.
For your purpose, I would group the columns so they can be selected all at once to (manually) set the material as needed.

Not sure how the Reptar Plugin works, but you can set a Layer Combination to show the columns as transparent.
Another workaround could be to have two sets of columns on different layers (with Layer Intersection Priority set to 0 when off, so as not to affect other elements) with one set concrete, and one set glass.
