Only partial elevation showing up.

I have one elevation that only shows 60% of the elevation entirely, and only bits and pieces of the other 40%. The facade is repetitive, and the portion that doesn't show up has identical parts as the portion that does show up. If I do an abbreviated elevation of only the problem portion I can see it, but if I try to strech it to show entire building, then it disappears again. I have never had this problem without signs of a problem in the model, and all the obvious fixes such as using a new elevation, or slightly adjusting location of cut, or settings does not seem to do anything. Does anybody have a suggestion, Thanks.

The times I have seen this closing the file and opening it again usually fixes it. Make sure that the problem elevation window is closed, this might force the elevation to refresh.

I tried that. Didn't work. But after trying a combination of different things I got it to show up, but it is still very sensitive, and takes an extremely long time to open. Although, for the most part it is no less complicated of a facade than others in the same project. Can't figure it out, and I hate fixing something without knowing the reason it was wrong in the first place. So if anybody has more advice I am all ears.

Maybe a long shot, but I've had similar issues when either some elements are duplicated or some elements overlap (collide) in 3D (like a wall extends up through a ceiling). Usually fixed by editing or SEO. If that's not the case, I'd say maybe a corrupt object.

Are you using any custom or downloaded objects? Sometimes there are errors with objects that can lead to a slow redraw time. I had this happen before with using just the wrong tree. I narrowed it down to a section by doing a little at a time till i hit a point where it wouldnt redraw at all. Also are you using a limited elevation view? You might try limiting it to just the facade and seeing if it will do that then start to extend it back from there.

Most likely a wrong GDL object or a misbehaving solid operation.

To rule out library part problems, unload all libraries AND delete the library cache (ArchiCADGdlBinCode.dat in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD Cache Folder\ArchiCAD 11.0.0 XXX R1). Try if it fixes it. if it doesn't, then - as suggested by others - try to narrow down the problem to a certain element or group of elements by turning off layers until the problem goes away. You might find that the problem is not related to any specific element (e.g. it goes away if you turn off slabs and show roofs, but also goes away if you turn off roofs and show the slabs) in which case you should suspect solid element operations.
Contact your local support if you can't find the offending elements.
