Hello!
Is it possible to create an override filter somehow where all Beams would be recognized as coloumns (ifctype)?

Assuming that you are trying to change the IFC classification - have you tried to create an interactive schedule....?

I think that instead of changing the IFC Type mapping for the "Beam" Classification to "IfcColumn", it would be better if you changed the Classification of the Beam element in the Settings Dialog from "Beam" to "Column" so that it will be given the IfcColumn IFC type based on the type mapping in the IFC Translator.
If you keep it the way you just modified, all element that are classified as Beams (even real Beams) will be converted to IFcColumn in the exported IFC file.
The recommended way of doing it is to not change the IFC type mapping, and classify the element to the desired Classification that converts to the desired IFC Type.

Thank you for your reply.
If, I understand it correctly, you suggest I choose all beams and change classification to columns here:
This would work, but I would prefer to only change it in IFC translator somehow, which would be needed for a software, where beams are not recognized. Otherwise I prefer to keep the orogina, correct ifc type beam as beam.
Is it possible to change ALL beams (any type of) to columns in IFC translator only?
