I have a parapet wall on a roof storey, directly over a same width and constructed wall underneath, on a lower storey. When I draw a section, both parapet and wall under join perfectly and are hatched alike. Just what I want. But when I go to the roof plan, my parapet walls are hatched in plan -which I don't want. Drafting conventions are that items which are cut are hatched, items which are viewed from the top, are not hatched. Full height walls are traditionally shown hatched, but low walls are shown plain. There are work arounds - like putting a blank fill over the wall - but is there an easy, automatic way?

Is this a wishlist item?

so, draw the wall on the storey below to the u/s of the coping, then draw the coping with the slab tool (or mesh if it has a raking top)

presumably there's some sort of coping to weatherproof the top of the wall

the parapet walls are drawn on the usual external walls layer to the correct height, hatching and all. then we use a low thick wall for the coping with a solid white fill over the top of the parapets.
this means that GA plans, containing all the building information, display correctly on output, but toggling the coping layer and GA notes layer off, and turning on parapet notes, we have a drawing set for the parapet walls.

I will put a thin coping over the parapet, and associate text notes with it.

Mind you, not another wall accessory add-on type thing, please: A basic enhancement of the wall tool.
