Sometimes someone can use it along with the detail tool on construction documents.
Lets say that you created a section of a window (scale 1:50), then a detail drawing from that section(1:10).After adding the appropriate details you can create a patch from this detail-drawing (using also hotspots) and place it on all sections(1:50) where this type of detail appears.You can hide or not fills and text so that things are not over-drawn on this scale. Same with railings, joint covers etc.
